The Big Curry Party
CLC Events was prominent in the organization of The Big Curry Party held in aid of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity in the magnificent venue of The Guildhall, Salisbury in October. Hosted by The Right Worshipful The Mayor of the City of Salisbury Councillor Derek Brown OBE, the evening raised over £20,000.
It was a hugely fun and successful evening, full of colour and entertainment. The Guildhall had been transformed with swathes of bright materials and dramatic lighting to draw the guests into the atmosphere of an Indian night. The evening began with a sparkling champagne reception and the guests then moved into the Guildhall which had been transformed into the world of opulent colour and exotic lighting. The guests were treated to an elaborate curry supper and enjoyed a fascinating talk by General Sir Nick Carter, Chief of the General Staff. They were then royally entertained by the bewildering talent of Britain’s Got Talent winner, Richard Jones, who had so kindly taken time out of his heavy schedule to support the Charity. The evening closed with a spirited auction.
Caroline Cary, the Event Organiser said: ” Every element of the evening relies upon someone’s help and contribution and I cannot thank everyone enough for making this event such a successful one for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.”
