The 2012 Early Early Christmas Fair, in support of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, will be held in the grounds of Tedworth House again this year.
For those of you who have not been before, this is a unique shopping experience where you can have lunch, meet friends and then leave happily laden with bags of truly fabulous gifts and treats.
Once again we have more than 90 stalls, of which 48 are completely new this year. A lot of time is spent researching and sourcing them to find things that are not normally available on the high street.
The Early Early Christmas Fair is not only a great shopping experience, but is a huge community event. It began as a relatively low key thing in the late 1980s aimed as an outlet to local people to sell their wares to an invited public; stallholders were mainly Army spouses.
The fair has grown considerably over the years and is now doing much more than just raising money: it is a vivid example of a community event that brings ABF – The Soldiers’ Charity, the army, garrison and the civilian population together. It’s a charitable cause to which all can relate and a shopping experience that is more or less unique.
